Tip: Include your office hours on your email signature.
This tip comes from Susan Brown of Growing Your Biz who started included her “office hours” in her email signature and on website when she was having a particularly hard time balancing work with her responsibilities at home. She writes:
“By including my office hours, I am explicitly stating that I will only be available for business inquiries during these times. This works for three reasons:
1. It creates the perception that you are busy
2. Helps you value your own time
3. Limited hours implies scarcity.”
